Shank's General Railway Guide to
Ten lines, 164 stations. Every list is a line, every item a station, and number one is always the terminus.

The lists are a railway and you browse them by riding. Each list is a line, each item a station, and where two lists touch on the same thing there is an interchange, so you leave a list from its middle rather than its end. Length is handled by the service you board: the express calls only at the top ten of the hundred, the stopping train at every one, and the three-item list is a branch-line shuttle with a full engraving at each halt. Every terminus has a through train onward to another line.
Hardest to build: the interchanges are editorial and need writing by hand, and the diagram here is a ladder of straight lines; a true network drawing where connected stations actually meet would need a layout pass or hand-placed coordinates per line. Back to the contact sheet.
