Designer's note
Core idea: the collection is a tiny 1-bit town and every list is a building you walk into. Length becomes architecture: a 3 item list is a three-floor shack, the 100 books are a tower with an elevator, and number 1 is always the penthouse, so every list is a ride up.
Homes for rich content: each floor is an exhibit with a framed photo, a plaque (the blurb) and a link on the wall. The town map itself is the art: signs, landmarks, the lake, and secrets like the wishing well.
Hardest to build: the map. Hand-placing 40 buildings so the town stays charming and walkable, on a phone, is level design rather than layout. The directory and tab order must stay first-class so nobody is ever forced to play to read.
