Top Whatever Alex's lists, wheatpasted over each other. Peel one off to see what is underneath.
Core idea: every list is a gig poster and the site is one wall where they have been pasted on top of each other. You never go back to an index; you peel the top sheet and the next list is already there, or you rip a tear-off tab from the foot of the poster to jump sideways. Rank is set the way a festival bill sets it: the headliner is enormous, the undercard shrinks, so a 3 item list is three screaming lines and a 100 item list is a full lineup poster where numbers 31 to 100 are the tiny bands at the bottom. Poster art, halftone photos and "see the map" links sit inside each billing block. Hardest to build: fitting type. Titles of very different lengths have to fill the sheet width without a human setting each one, so the real build needs a fit-text pass per poster (and per breakpoint), plus a tear animation with a real ragged edge rather than this straight slide.
