    Designer's note

Core idea: the headline is the navigation. The list title is a ransom note glued from four scraps, and each scrap is a dial through the collection on a different axis: swap the first word and the mood flips (love to spite), swap the number and you get the next longer list, swap the noun and you get the next subject. There is no index page, only a sentence you keep vandalising. Each entry is a pasted strip with a cut-out rank, a typed blurb, a manicule link out, and room for a taped-down photo. Short lists get every title cut from magazines; a 100 item list gets ten cut-out headliners and then gives up and types the other ninety in columns. Hardest to build: making the randomness look composed. Scrap fonts, rotations and sizes need to be seeded per word so a list always looks the same, and still wrap cleanly on a phone without two heavy black scraps colliding.
