Designer's note. Core idea: the whole site is one sheet of copier paper, laid out the way an eight-page mini-zine is imposed: eight panels, every other row printed upside down, ready to be folded and cut. That sheet is the index. Tap a panel and the paper swings round and pushes into your face until that page fills the screen; the arrows walk the fold order, so the sheet visibly slides and spins 180 degrees when you cross a crease. Short lists are one page each. Long lists live on the other side, because the back of a one-sheet zine is always a poster: flip it and the 100 books fill the full sheet, type shrinking as the rank drops, zoomable crease by crease. Art gets the halftone box on each page, links are manicules after each entry. Hardest to build: fitting real content into fixed-ratio pages (a 9 item list is already tight, so mid-size lists of 10 to 30 need to become a two-page spread), and keeping zoomed type readable on a phone, where a page is only as wide as the screen.
